Losing track of your belongings has to be up there in the list of stressful situations, but that's more easily avoidable than ever these days with the invention of Bluetooth trackers. Pinpointing their exact location in an app and pinging noise when nearby, these Tile by Life360 devices are a lifesaver for anyone who regularly misplaces their keys, bags and other belongings - and they just reached a record low price.

Over on the Amazon Spring Deal Days event, a set of two Tile tags is currently down to £26.99 from their usual £44.99. That takes the individual price down to £13.50 for each tag, beating out even last Black Friday's price of £17.49.

Knocking 40% off the price, these tiny tags can be attached to keyrings, zips, or dropped into bags to keep track of the location of your belongings. When paired to a phone via Bluetooth, you'll be able to see the location of each tag within the Life360 App.

They're very similar to Apple's AirTag gadgets which perform a similar function. I've had luck with using AirTags while tracking my luggage at the airport, and you can do exactly the same thing with these Tile trackers.

If you're close enough, you can even get the Tile trackers to ping a noise to help you locate their exact location. This works both ways too - press the button on the tracker and it will cause your phone to vibrate if you happen to have misplaced it.

They're compatible with both iOS and Android devices, so they should work no matter what sort of phone you have. The main difference between Tile and AirTags are that Apple's version has its location pinged when any iPhone passes by it, whereas the Tile tracker will only update its location when your phone physically passes by it.

As such, Tile trackers are better for keeping track of items within your own home or within a family who uses multiple Tile gadgets. Otherwise, it's worth going with the AirTags, which are also on sale for £23.50 each at Amazon.

Tile trackers have a review score of 4.3 stars overall, with one customer leaving this review: "These tile key finders are brilliant. I have purchased 4 over the last year for various keys that keep going missing. Especially good for when you leave your car keys in your coat pocket or down the back of the sofa!! - they have saved the day many a time."

Another titled their review 'Just like an AirTag, but Android!', elaborating with: "Super loud beep, could hear under my sofa. Tracker isn’t live but it is very accurate. Very worth the money, Would recommend as an alternative to AirTags."

A third happy customer said: "This is ideal for people who occasionally lose either keys or phone. Simply press either the tile or phone app to locate the lost item. Good range of location."

Some customers had a few issues with the companion app, saying: "The app bombards you with tedious messages to upgrade to a more expensive tier. If I had known about this I would have chosen a different system." If the number of notifications ends up bothering you, it's possible to restrict the number of notifications in your phone's settings.

Other customers explain that the battery is sadly not replaceable, which is an issue if you want to keep using this tag far into the future. "I love the Tile and it works well. But I'm done with Tile because the batteries aren't replaceable and this last tile lasted for only a month before the battery died and the one prior lasted only maybe four or five months," explains one customer.

Samsung also offers a SmartTag option which is reduced to £12 each in the Amazon Spring Deal Days event right now. They only work with Samsung phones though, so you're out of luck if you own a Google or other Android phone.
